In creating my collages I use a variety of papers from rice papers to magazine advertisements to found papers.  Many of the papers I paint or print, and then glaze.  I also make my own paper using a lot of natural fibers.  Sandpaper, puzzle pieces, ribbons and Asian-language newspapers and many other objects portray what I want to say.
   
To adhere the papers or objects, many different kinds of glue or media are available.  My preference is matte medium.

I am consistently amazed by the papers and objects that people miss and discard.  Many times, it is a single piece of discarded paper that inspires the entire work.
